Del.icio.us is Finally Updated 0

After years of wondering and waiting, the folks at Del.icio.us have finally unleashed the new version of their bookmarking website. It has a brand new look and feel. It’s about time! I’m very pleased with it, myself. The site seems much better organized in this new format. The same underlying features appear to apply.

It also appears that traffic directed to their traditional del.icio.us address is now redirected to delicious.com. I don’t know how long it has been that way. I just noticed it, myself.

Who Still Uses ICQ? 0

I find it amusing that today’s multi-protocol chat programs still include access to ICQ. Who in the world still uses that? In my mind, ICQ was dead even before the old Netscape Navigator saw its demise. I’m sure that software makers want to add access to as many services as possible, but who actually uses ICQ in that mix? I’d be curious to see those numbers. If you search the web for any mention of ICQ these days, you’ll find that the majority of comments are about how it is a thing of the past. I agree. Let’s bury it.

Californication 0

I love the new Showtime series Californication. Okay, so it’s not that new, since season two is slated to start airing later this summer. I rented the DVDs for Season One via Netflix. Me and Laura watched all of the episodes together, and we both really got into it. It stars David Duchovny. He is an absolute hoot playing the character of Hank Moody. He seems such a natural in his role. It’s really fun to watch, and it always leaves you wanting more.

In a lot of ways, it reminds me of the old HBO series Dream On, which I liked to watch in the early 90s. Just like Martin Tupper from Dream On, Hank Moody in Californication gets more T&A than you can believe! The cast, plot, dialogue, and gritty nature of this show blend together fabulously. I’m going to have to sign back up for Showtime once this show and Dexter start their new seasons!

MiniClip Games 0

I really enjoy playing MiniClip Games. They have a huge collection of free Flash-based games to play. Some of these games are amazingly complex. I’m truly stunned at the quality and depth of some of these Flash games. In fact, the MotherLoad game that I recently mentioned is from the MiniClip site. Today, I’ve come to visit MiniClip a lot more often than Pogo. MiniClip has more games, and best of all, they’re free. So go play! You’re sure to get hooked.

Online vCard Converter 1

The lack of a decent export option from the Address Book in the Mac OS is troubling. I’ve tried various free converters in the past, with mixed success. Finally, I’ve found a very easy web page that does the work for you. In Address Book, export all of your contacts as vCards. Then send them through the online converter for the output of your choice. It works beautifully.
