The Incredible Shrinking Woman 2

Are you old enough to remember a movie from 1981, starring Lily Tomlin, called The Incredible Shrinking Woman? Well, I am. Me and my brother watched it several times when it aired on HBO long, long ago. I am bringing this up because I found this movie playing on the Encore channel the other night! I just love it. It is a classic in my eyes, but that is probably only because I grew up seeing it.

What I can’t figure out is: Why hasn’t this movie been released on DVD? Yes, it is fact. This movie has never been released on DVD. What gives? I see old forgotten westerns shot the 1940s in the bargain bin at Wal-Mart all the time. Who decided to make DVDs of those ridiculous films? I am asking the powers-that-be to get The Incredible Shrinking Woman out on DVD! And include some director’s commentary!

Writers Strike Halts SNL 3

If you follow the news, you’ll probably know that the Writers Guild of America is on strike while trying to renegotiate new terms with the entertainment industry. I don’t have an opinion on the strike, but I was struck by a news article I just read. It said that this past weekend, the cast of Saturday Night Live put on a mock live show for a small audience, while a rerun played on NBC TV. I found this to be very puzzling. I mean, did anyone else think that a writer’s strike could affect SNL? Those people may want to think about going back to work before audiences stop and realize how repetitive and not funny SNL has become.

Really Good Wallpapers at InterfaceLift 0

If you get tired of the hassle of searching for good wallpaper for your desktop, check out the free images at InterfaceLift. They have some of the most gorgeous pictures I have ever seen, and the come in all dimensions and resolutions. Since I found this site, I rarely look any farther. That said, if you do want to search for wallpaper with Google, you’ll get better results if you include the resolution of your desktop (such as 1280×1024) and, optionally, the word “free” in your search terms.

A Grocery Store In The Mall 0

Why isn’t there a grocery store in the mall? It is a glaring omission to shopper’s needs. There should be a fully stocked supermarket in-house with prices that are comparable to the ones you’d expect elsewhere. I would like to have a one-stop place where I can eat, play, catch a movie, grocery shop, buy alcohol, etc. without driving to different places. A Wallgreens, or something similar would be great in every mall as well. For that matter, put a pool hall in the mall, too. Put everything people may want to go out and do in one giant place (the mall) and don’t overcharge rent to the tenants so all of the prices will be equal than their standalone counterparts. I think it is a great idea!

Merged Mac and PC Categories 1

Today I have merged the Mac and PC cats into a single Computing category. I hope this reduces some clutter and redundancy.
